The project aims at characterizing the interactions of Pu(IV) with coordination sites in peptides or proteins using a multidisciplinary approach involving radiochemistry and biochemistry.
A consortium of two labs in Marseille passed the first step of selection to obtain a PhD grant. The second step of selection will be the couple student/project. We are then looking for a candidate for this PhD grant.

A PhD position is available at the Redox Biology Team of I2BC, Gif-Sur-Yvette, on the elucidation of the mechanism of Fe-S cluster assembly
(full time, three year, the Netherlands)
The objective of the PhD Thesis is to develop and explore new molecular homogenous and heterogenous catalysts for the reduction of carbon dioxide and low-weight organic derivatives. The synthesized compounds will be characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. Special emphasis will be placed on the spectroelectrochemical characterization (IR, UV-Vis-NIR) of intermediates for full understanding of the mechanisms. Immobilization of the most promising molecular catalysts onto conductive support (electrode) will be also developed to perform heterogeneous catalysis.
One year posistion in a joint research project between the Institut de Chimie Moléculaire et des Matériaux d’Orsay (ICMMO)and the SOLEIL synchrotron (Saclay).
