Permanent contract with CEA at Grenoble – IRIG, SyMMES (UMR 5819 Univ. Grenoble Alpes, CEA, CNRS)
Department of Molecular Chemistry offers a full-time PhD Position (m/f) for a period of 3 years, starting in October 2020.
A doctoral position is available in the Metalloproteins Unit (MU) at the Institut de Biologie Structurale (IBS) in Grenoble – France to work on the structural study of the assembly machinery of the nitrogenase active site.
An MCO as ultimate artificial photosynthetic mimic
Biomimetic inorganic chemistry aims at reproducing structural and spectroscopic properties and ultimately the reactivity of metallic enzymes. In this context, our group has acquired a strong expertise in using simple and well-studied ligands covalently attached to a molecular cavity. We want now to follow another approach in which a coordination complex is fully embedded in a supramolecular capsule.
A background in molecular biology and protein biochemistry is essential, knowledge of macromolecular crystallography would be an advantage. Details and application at: https://esrf.gestmax.eu/1397/1/phd-position-structural-basis-of-melanogenesis-enzymes/en_US
Profil : Spectroscopie et ses applications, sections CNU 31
In Imperial College, London.
Our group investigates the function and maturation of various metalloenzymes. This project is concerned with hydrogenases, the enzymes that oxidize and produce H2.
The application deadline is January 13, 2020, the target start date being January/February 2020, with some flexibility on the exact start date. The internship period is 5 or 6 months with a net salary ~550 Euro/month.
Le/La Techncien-ne biologiste sera chargée de cultiver les souches ainsi que de mettre au point les cultures de bactéries isolées.
Investigation of the peculiar nickel-binding site of the metalloprotein CooT by hyperpolarized solid-state NMR
Internships for two master students on two different projects in the team of Christelle Hureau, “Alzheimer et amyloïdes”, Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination du CNRS. Dates are from January to June 2020 (5 to 6 months) paid about 570 Euros/month. A PhD position will be available in the team in 2020.
