[Expired] 7th international symposium on metallomics
June 30th to July 3rd, 2019, Warsaw, Poland, http://metallomics2019.pl/
Dear Fellow Scientists,
It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 7th International Symposium on Metallomics in Warsaw, the capital of Poland from June 30th to July 3rd, 2019.
We have the ambition to adopt and to develop further the best ideas from the heritage of the six former successful Metallomics Symposia started in 2007 in Nagoya and held since then biannually (Cincinnati, 2009, Munster 2011, Oviedo, 2013, Beijing, 2015, Vienna 2017).
The scientific programme of the Symposium will reflect the interdisciplinarity of metallomics, the integrated biometal science. The leitmotiv is the understanding of the interactions of metal ions and their chemical structures in the biological systems, the biological functions these structures acquire and the fine-tuning of their usage in biology with a focus on a global multimetal approach.
We will assure a representative coverage of the latest developments in analytical chemistry, biology and biochemistry addressing the role of essential and toxic metals and metalloids in all the important areas of the modern society: nutrition and disease, environmental and human toxicology, plant physiology and phytoremediation, biomedical sciences, and others.
Several renowned scientists have already confirmed to present their cutting-edge research. The venue of the conference, Warsaw University of Technology, is situated in the centre of Warsaw within few minutes of major tourist attractions. The Congress Canter offers comfortable exhibition space and discussions during coffee and lunch breaks. Warsaw is easily accessible within 2-3 hours from most of the European cities via two airports: Frederic Chopin (WAW) and Modlin (MOD) including a considerable number of low-cost connections. Direct flights are available from Beijing, Tokyo, New York, Chicago, and Toronto. The time of the conference guarantees long days and pleasant weather. We are proposing a rich social programme, including the get-together party in the main building of the Warsaw University of Technology, a coctail dinner at the 30th floor of the Palace of Culture of Science, and a barbecue late-evening party with folk music giving a lot of opportunities to test the variety of Polish food.
