Dear members of the International Copper Community:
SAVE THE DATE!! Svetlana Lutsenko and David Giedroc are delighted to serve as organizers of the 11th International Copper Meeting, Copper 2018, to be held in Sorrento, Naples, Italy on the stunning Amalfi Coast, September 23-28, 2018. The meeting will again be held at Grand Hotel Vesuvio in Sorrento, with check-in on Sunday, September 23 and check-out Friday, September 28.
New for Copper 2018: An opening day to begin after the noon hour that highlights clinical and pre-clinical research developments on Sunday, September 23, entitled Human disorders of copper metabolism.
The scientific meeting will follow on from previous successful iterations of this meeting, and will include investigators drawn from the chemical, biological and medical sciences, in topics ranging from copper in human disease and cancer to plants and microbial infectious disease. The meeting will comprise seven thematically organized scientific symposia over four plus days, with one afternoon off to enjoy southern Italy.
As in the past, a large number of oral presentations will be drawn from submitted abstracts, with plenty of opportunities for postdoctoral scientists and junior faculty to present their work.
We look forward to your participation in what promises to be another outstanding meeting. Please continue to check our Copper 2018 website over the coming months: copper11/ More information to follow!!
