[Expired] [Postponed to July 2021] International Conference on Metal-Binding Peptides: Methodologies and Applications

7-10 July 2020, Nancy, France

On behalf of the Organization Committee, it is our great pleasure to cordially invite you to attend the First International Conference on Metal-Binding Peptides (MBP’2020), an interdisciplinary event around the interaction of metals with peptides, which will be held in Nancy, France from July 7th to 10th 2020.

MBP’2020 will cover a wide range of topics and disciplines around peptides and metals, from basic research to various applications. The idea of the initiation of this first congress is to gather academic and industrial scientists together, who are normally dispatched in different fields. We expect a strong synergic effect and an innovative atmosphere by mixing skills and disciplines, as techniques, methods, chemical compounds etc. from one discipline or field might be of high interest for another field and vice-versa.

Thus we aim to cover methodologies and applications in different disciplines, including food, nutrition, chemistry, microbiology, cellular biology, biology in general, catalysis, environment, origin of life and evolution, milk products, imaging, models, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, health, materials etc. Peptides include synthetic peptides, expressed peptides, isolated from natural sources, peptidomimetics etc. and all type of metals (essential, toxic etc) present in form of ions, metal-ligand complexes, nanoparticles and so on.

MBP’2020 is dedicated to promote interdisciplinary scientific exchange and personal interaction between participants in an informal atmosphere. We aim for around 150 participants, allowing to gather all in the historical city center of Nancy on one spot, to increase interaction and discussions. We will offer a lot of communication opportunities, in particular oral presentations as well as poster presentations.

Nancy is located in the North-East of France, in the heart of Europe, not far from Luxembourg, Germany and Belgium.

Easily reachable (fast trains 1h30 from Paris airport and 30 min from Gare-Lorraine TGV), Nancy is an old historical and well-preserved city. The artistic movement Art Nouveau flourished in Nancy from the late 19th century and its influence is particularly visible in Nancy architecture. The “Place Stanislas” is on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1983 and is one of the most beautiful squares of the world. The Place d’Alliance, which resembles a mini Place des Vosges in Paris and The Place de la Carrière also received the honour.

With its 18th century UNESCO World Heritage Sites, its rich “Art Nouveau” heritage, outdoor terraces and relaxed way of life, you are guaranteed to fall in love with our city.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Nancy in July 2020.

Sincerely
