[Expired] 2016 Penn State Bioinorganic Workshop
June 2-10 2016 at the University Park Campus of Penn State University.
(i) talks by faculty,
(ii) hands-on training in small groups in
19 different methods (regular participants send a prioritized list of the methods they want to learn and can participate in 9-12 different methods, and
(iii) presentation of the participants’ research (10-12 talks selected from abstracts and 2 poster sessions).
Updates will be provided on the workshop website http://sites.psu.edu/bioinorganic/2016-bioinorganic-workshop/
On the website you will also find description of previous workshops and can access materials from previous workshops (e.g. lecture slides and links to recorded lectures).
The registration fee will be tentatively the same as in 2014, i.e. $800.
The registration fee does not include food (except group bbq and coffee breaks) and lodging, but there will be the option for on-campus housing in the dorms (we were quoted a rate of $68 per night).
Like in previous years, we anticipate that we can have a total of ca 160 participants. Because roughly half of the participants are “teachers”, we can offer the workshop to ca 80 regular participants. If you intend to send someone from your group, please alert her or him to the workshop website, where further announcements will be made.
We look forward to meeting the next generation of bioinorganic chemists in June at Penn State. Cheers and on behalf of the Penn State bioinorganic group – Carsten Penn State Bioinorganic Group
