It is with a great sadness that we have learnt that our friend and colleague Eckhard Bill passed away.

The bioinorganic community has lost one of its great figures, a man with a gigantic contribution in the field of 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy applied to bioinorganic systems and whose kindness was recognized and appreciated by all of us.

He liked to pass on his knowledge and contributed to the 2nd FrenchBIC summer school, where the photo below was taken.
