Chères amies et chers amis,

Je vous écris à propos de la SBIC. Certains d'entre vous on peut-être déjà reçu un message indiquant que je candidate pour la présidence. J'ai été contactée cet été par Alison Butler et par Vince Pecoraro, qui ont sollicité ma candidature. Pour la prochaine mandature, la présidence revient effectivement à l'Europe. Ils m'ont convaincue de tenter l'aventure.

Comme je l'ai fait quand j'étais présidente du FRENCHBIC avec Elodie Anxolabéhère, j'aimerais, si j'étais élue, axer mes actions, d'une part sur le développement de réseau d'échanges d'étudiants (pré-doctorants en particulier), d'autre part sur la promotion des actions interdisciplinaires. Mon travail au CNRS à la MITI (mission pour les initiatives transverses et l'interdisciplinarité) n'a fait que conforter ma conviction que l'interaction avec d'autres champs, biologie cellulaire ou plus intégrée, physique, géosciences ... est un vecteur puissant de développement. L'enseignement est aussi un point clef : peut-être pourrions-nous mettre en commun des ressources d'enseignement (cours, sujets d'exercice à partager), pourquoi pas à travers une section dédiée au sein du JBIC. C'est une idée que j'aimerais explorer. Je sais que le partage des ressources est aussi un des intérêts de Vince.

Voici quelques idées jetées rapidement. Si certains d'entre vous souhaitent en discuter, je reste disponible évidemment.

I am writing to you about SBIC. Some of you may have already received a message that I am running for president. I was contacted this summer by Alison Butler and by Vince Pecoraro, who asked for my candidacy. For the next term, the presidency is indeed going to Europe. They convinced me to try the adventure.

As I did when I was president of FRENCHBIC with Elodie Anxolabéhère, I would like, if I were elected, to focus my actions, on the one hand, on the development of student exchange networks (pre-doctoral students in particular), on the other hand, on the promotion of interdisciplinary actions. My work at the CNRS at the MITI (mission for transversal initiatives and interdisciplinarity) has only reinforced my conviction that interaction with other fields, cellular biology or more integrated biological approaches, physics, geosciences ... is a powerful vector of development. Teaching is also a key point: perhaps we could pool teaching resources (courses, exercise subjects to be shared), why not through a dedicated section within the JBIC. This is an idea I would like to explore. I know that sharing resources is also one of Vince's interests.

Here are some quick ideas. If any of you would like to discuss them, I am of course available.
