SUMMARY:Bacterial Electron Transfer processes and their regulation
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that the 10th meeting in the series Bacterial Electron Transfer processes and their regulation will be held at Eurostars Centrum Hotel\, Alicante\, Spain from 6-8th March 2024. \nThis meeting\, organized by the European Federation of Biotechnology\, will bring together an international group of researchers who share interests in bacterial electron transfer. In 2024\, the meeting presents the latest breakthroughs in microbial respiration and its regulation with a particular focus on how respiration has been identified in a number of studies at the frontiers of the field. \nSessions are organized around different topics\, including bioenergetics\, metabolism\, stress adaptation\, respiration of human microbiota\, antibiotic resistance\, host-pathogens relationship and cell biology aspects. Talks by a series of highly renowned invited speakers will be supplemented by shorter talks chosen from abstract submissions. \nThe conference will provide opportunities for interaction of both established leaders in the field and early career scientists who will become leaders in the future. \nJoin us in Alicante in March 2024 to present your most recent work. SUMMARY:3rd International Biometals Webinars
DESCRIPTION:Les webinaires Biometals ont été mis en place par la société internationale Biometals et le journal Biometals. Ces webinaires internationaux se déroulent une fois par mois avec deux conférenciers qui présentent en « live » des webinaires de 30 min suivis de questions/réponses. Cela se déroule entre 15h et 16h30 (heure de Paris)  mais l’ensemble est enregistré et accessible gratuitement sur la plateforme Cassyni : https://cassyni.com/s/biometals que je vous invite à visiter. \nEn Mars\, nous aurons une présentation de Wolfgang Maret\, de King’s College\, London\, scientifique incontournable dans le monde des métalloprotéines à zinc\, ainsi que de Isbaelle Schalk\, de l’université de Strasbourg qui nous parlera de sidérophores  en lien avec l’homéostasie du fer chez Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Sa présentation sera précédée d’un petit hommage à Pierre Cornélis\, Un spécialiste de Pseudomonas qui nous a quitté en décembre dernier.
