[Expired] PhD position at Queen Mary University of London: biochemistry and biophysics of Complex I

A fully-funded PhD position, open to students worldwide, is currently available in the groups of Dr Guy Hanke and Dr Maxie Roessler at Queen Mary University of London: https://www.findaphd.com/search/ProjectDetails.aspx?PJID=93878.

The project is focused on understanding the mechanism of the NDH complex in plants, an enzyme homologous to respiratory complex I, that is important for plant stress tolerance. The student will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of techniques in biophysics (in particular electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy), biochemistry, molecular genetics and microbiology.
